Twelve-needle, twenty-four-thread chainstitch waistband machine. The dedicated denim-line specialty for shops doing high-volume jean and sportswear waistbands with elastic insertion in the same pass.
Who runs this
Denim factories at production volume. Sportswear and casual-apparel manufacturers attaching waistbands with integrated elastic. The machine that sets the throughput ceiling on a denim line — every jean has one waistband, and a 12-needle pass is significantly faster than any narrower alternative.
Different from the SP2000-4 (4-needle chainstitch, decorative parallel work). The 12-needle handles wider waistbands and higher-volume work; the 4-needle is the right pick for narrower decoration applications.
Why 12 needles plus VWL elastic
- Twelve parallel rows in one pass. Wider waistband stitching at the production-volume cadence the denim industry needs. Narrower multi-needle alternatives require multiple passes for the same coverage.
- Integrated VWL elastic metering. The elastic is fed from a separate spool and metered in sync with the fabric. No separate elastic operation; waistband is constructed in a single pass.
- Advanced puller system. Mechanical puller maintains consistent fabric tension through the 12-needle bed — critical when the layer count varies along the waistband.
